Financial and Banking / By Karina Estrada Corporate Law Jr. Associate
On November 21, 2017, the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) informed that on October 23, 2017, it incorporated 42 Courts in family matters from the Mexico City Superior Court of Justice (TSJCDMX) to the Attention System for Authority Requests (Sistema de Atención de Requerimientos de Autoridad, SIARA).
Through the said platform, several authorities —such as the Judicial Branch, the Tax Administration Service (TAS), the National Workers Housing Fund Institute (INFONAVIT), the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), the Office of the Attorney General (PGR), Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF), National Electoral Institute (INE), Superior Audit of the Federation, Ministry of Government Affairs (SFP), and others— may electronically request information to the financial entities regulated by the CNBV regarding the economic situation, documentation, insurance, account blocking, transfer, or funds status of financial services clients or users. Using this tool is expected to decrease the deadlines and resources disbursed and conduct attention safely and confidentiality.
